A building shaped like a yin-yang symbol. We chose not to take that literally.
For Merin, we designed the investment memorandum for the Yin Yang office building at Euclideslaan 1 in Utrecht, with a design that suits the building’s distinctive form, inspired by the yin-yang symbol.
We also did the photography ourselves, and designed the stacking plan, the floor plans and the maps.
Using the yin-yang shape literally felt too obvious. Instead, we worked with its essence: black and white, in a calm and contrasting design.
In the layout itself we deliberately left out every curve. Straight lines, clean grids and crisp typography make the rounded forms in the photography stand out all the more.
